Job Description:
As a Quayside Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for the quayside infrastructure at Anglesey Freeport. Working as part of our engineering team, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our quayside facilities, supporting our ferry operations and contributing to our overall success.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repair:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of quayside infrastructure, including berths, ramps, and mooring systems.
- Carry out repairs and troubleshooting to ensure the continuous operation of quayside facilities.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.

Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to the ferry operations team, including assisting with berthings and departures as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to quayside equipment and infrastructure.
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.

Health and Safety:
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate safety hazards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and best practice among team members.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required, including maintenance schedules and work orders.
- Assist with the development of maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the maritime or port industry.
- Strong technical skills, with experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time, permanent position based at Anglesey Freeport, North Wales.
- The successful candidate may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to accommodate operational requirements.
